As an Asian-American, my culture and traditions are extremely important to me and shape who I am. As a sister of alpha Kappa Delta Phi, the largest Asian-interest sorority, I am able to meet people from all around the world who share similar stories and backgrounds and found a sisterhood that inspires me to be a better person daily.

Growing up, I was raised as a Buddhist, and the core values of Buddhism guide me throughout every aspect of my life. It's important to me to give back to the Monastery and I do this through coming back to mentor younger girls who are facing their own personal obstacles. I also served as a head choreographer and taught the younger children traditional Vietnamese dances.

Being a woman of color, it has always been vital to me to focus on women empowerment. Along with other strong and confident women, I helped start an organization at The University of Texas at Austin that focused on providing a safe space for all women. We focus on professional development, academic success, and personal growth.
